Sol Cresta takes the docking as well as formation strategy of classical shooting titles Moon Cresta and Terra Cresta and enhances them using an innovative “free-form docking” method. Yamato, the flagship Yamato comprises the vessels Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susano is able to use a variety of attacks depending on how three of the ships are aligned. Separating, docking, and refitting the vessels when needed is the key for defeating the massive armies of Mandler.
